Ingredients
- Semiya Vermicelli: ½ cup
- Milk: 2 cups boiled
- Sugar: As needed or Condensed Milk / Milk powder
- Sabja Seeds Basil Seeds: 1 tsp (soaked in water)
- Assorted Fruits: As needed finely chopped apples, grapes, pomegranate, etc.
- Ghee: 1 tsp for roasting semiya
- Cashews & Raisins: A few optional
- Rose Milk Essence / Vanilla Essence: A few drops for flavor
Method
- Roast the Semiya: Heat a teaspoon of ghee in a pan, add the semiya, and roast until it turns golden brown.
- Boil the Milk: In a separate pan, boil the milk along with the required amount of sugar.
- Cook the Semiya: Add the roasted semiya into the boiling milk and cook until soft. Once done, turn off the heat and let it cool completely.
- Prepare Sabja Seeds: Soak the sabja seeds in a small amount of water until they expand.
- Chop the Fruits: Finely chop your favorite fresh fruits like apples, grapes, and pomegranates.
- Mix Everything: Once the cooked semiya and milk mixture has cooled completely, add the soaked sabja seeds and chopped fruits. Mix well. You can also add a few drops of rose or vanilla essence for extra flavor.
- Chill and Serve: Refrigerate the salad for a while to chill thoroughly before serving. Enjoy it cold!
